🚨 Large CDR Deal Alert! 🚨
🤝 Japanese shipping company Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) has purchased 30,000 tonnes of CDR from US-based Direct Ocean Removal (DOR) company Captura.
🌊 MOL has also signed an agreement to join as a strategic partner to deploy commercial DOR plants and has invested in Captura through its venture capital arm, MOL Switch.
🚚 The tonnes will be delivered by one of Captura’s first commercial DOR facilities before the end of 2030.
🆕This is MOL's first durable CDR deal outside of NextGen CDR.
⬆ This takes Captura up to 35th on the CDR.fyi Suppliers Leaderboard.
📈 MOL is the latest entrant on the CDR.fyi Purchasers Leaderboard, debuting at joint 21st.
