🀝 Hafslund Celsio has signed an offtake agreement with Microsoft for 1.1 million tonnes of carbon dioxide removal (CDR) from its WtE BECCS project in Norway.

🚚 The tonnes will delivered over a 10 year period and the captured COβ‚‚ will be stored by the Northern Lights JV project.

πŸš€ This marks Hafslund Celsio’s second durable CDR deal to date, bringing its total sales to nearly 1.2 million tonnes.

πŸ” Microsoft continues to stay at the top of theΒ CDR.fyi Purchasers Leaderboard with over 22.7M tonnes in purchases.
