Mission Zero activated its third DAC system at Deep Sky Alpha, Alberta, capable of capturing up to 250 tCO₂ annually for permanent storage. The solar-powered electrochemical unit marks the company’s first international deployment.
Graphyte announced plans to triple the capacity at its Arkansas facility from 14,000 to 45,000 tCO₂ annually after sequestering ~5,000 tonnes to date. Additional British Columbia and Arizona sites are also planned to meet rising demand.
Evero was selected by the UK government to enter negotiations to transform its Evero Ince biomass plant to become the UK’s first BECCS facility, aiming to remove 217,000 tonnes of CO₂ annually while generating clean energy.
Carbon Lock Tech proposed a $5 million pilot waste-to-biochar facility in Ritchot, Manitoba in Canada, converting organics into stable biocarbon pellets via patented pyrolysis, diverting landfill waste, and generating biochar and carbon credits.
Oakland, California-based DAC company Noya announced that it is ceasing operations 5 years after its launch. The company had previously raised an $11M Series A round in 2023 to scale up sorbent manufacturing for its technology.
