Introducing CDR.fyi Resources: The Definitive Resource Hub for Carbon Dioxide Removal

blog post image

As the durable carbon removal market grows, so does the number of documents, standards, templates, and frameworks that shape how projects are financed, contracted, and deployed. Yet many of these resources remain scattered, hard to find, or inconsistently referenced across the sector.

Today, we’re introducing the new Resources section on CDR.fyi - the definitive resource hub for carbon dioxide removal.

The goal is simple: accelerate carbon removal through shared infrastructure to support better decision-making and coordination across the durable CDR ecosystem, thereby improving access to shared infrastructure. Whether you're a buyer, supplier, investor, policymaker, or researcher, you'll find resources tailored to your needs.

Why a Resources Section?

Durable CDR is moving from experimentation toward early markets. That shift depends not only on projects and policy but also on the tools that sit between - contracts, standards, methodologies, and guidance that enable transactions to occur in practice.

The CDR.fyi Resources section is designed to:

  • Surface widely used or emerging market infrastructure
  • Provide a neutral reference point for buyers, suppliers, policymakers, investors and researchers
  • Reduce duplication and friction by making existing work easier to find and compare
  • Evolve over time as the market matures

First Resource Live: OSCAR

The first resource available is OSCAR - the Open Standard Carbon Removal Agreement.

Launched in November 2025 by the OSCAR core team of volunteers in partnership with CDR.fyi, OSCAR provides a standardized, practical framework to bring clarity and consistency to durable CDR contracting.

OSCAR’s purpose is to improve clarity, reduce negotiation costs, and increase comparability across CDR agreements, especially in a market where bespoke contracts remain time‑consuming and expensive.

What Comes Next

This is the first step. In the near future, we will add other documents, tools, and resources to help market actors engage and transact with confidence.

We’ll continue to curate this section with a focus on practical relevance, transparency, and ecosystem value.

We're building this alongside the broader CDR community. If you have a use case that showcases your carbon removal efforts, or simply want to share feedback, please reach out to us at team@cdr.fyi.
