The objective of our Bush-to-Biochar carbon removal projects is the restoration of grasslands and savannahs by addressing the degradation caused by bush encroachment and increasing the basis for biodiversity in Namibia’s communal conservation areas. By producing biochar from the aggressive growing encroacher bush, we increase livelihood diversification and livelihood improvement through developing a sustainable rural enterprise from bush encroachment.
