🚨 Big CDR Deal Alert for 20,000 tonnes! 🚨

🤝 Helsingborgshem has signed an agreement to purchase over 20,000 tonnes of durable CDR from energy company Öresundskraft. As per the agreement, 2,000 tonnes of CDR will be delivered annually over 10 years.

🌳 The tonnes will be generated from BECCS (Waste-to-energy) at Öresundskraft’s Filbornaverket facility.

🔝 Currently, Helsingborgshem is the largest municipal purchaser of durable CDR credits to date.

🥉 Sweden is now 3rd amongst countries by total tonnes sold so far in 2025.

🆕 At 31st, Helsingborgshem becomes the newest entrant on the CDR.fyi Purchasers Leaderboard.

📊 Öresundskraft stands at 16th on the CDR.fyi Suppliers Leaderboard, with over 120,000 tonnes of CDR sold so far.

🇸🇪 Öresundskraft is also the 2nd largest Swedish BECCS supplier on the leaderboard.
