🚨 Large CDR Deal Alert! 🚨

🤝 Schneider Electric has signed a new multi-year agreement with Climeworks Solutions for 31,000 tonnes of durable carbon removal through its portfolio of solutions.

The agreement is part of Schneider Electric's commitments to becoming net zero across its entire value chain by 2050, including a 90% reduction of CO2 emissions for Scope 1 and 2, by 2030 (from 2017 baseline).

🚚 As part of the agreement, the tonnes will be delivered over 10 years from 2030 to 2039.

🌳 Climeworks Solutions will provide carbon removals for Schneider Electric through a portfolio of DACCS, BECCS, and Enhanced Weathering.

💨 Climeworks will supply 25,000 tonnes of DAC credits in this deal.

While 3,000 tonnes each of BECCS and Enhanced Weathering will be contracted.
